Refocus your Energy
We are living in some trying times right now. It's understandable that a lot of people are struggling in some way shape or form. Some are struggling in multiple areas. But have you thought about where your focus is? What I mean is, are you giving all your power to the troubles that you are having? I have found that this causes the majority of stress. I have learned that if you want to reduce stress in your life you will need to take the emphasis off of all the bad things that may be going on. It isn't easy at first but with practice you will find that it is possible to have many many more good days despite what is going on.
Here are some ways that I refocus my energy:
Release the "I am the victim" mentality
Okay, things can and do happen to us BUT you have to know when to let go and move forward. Being stuck is one of the worse things you can do to yourself. Remember that being stuck is a choice. Choose to release yourself.
Forgive
Give
Helping others can really give you a sense of purpose. Perform random acts of kindness and you will find that in return you will feel wonderful. The other great thing is it inspires the other person to perform kind acts as well. That is what I call "spreading a good virus".
Find Joy in Simple Things
Look for things that cost nothing that bring a smile to your face. This could be listening to some fun funky music, stealing away to read a juicy novel, hanging out with someone you love, or watching humorous video clips on YouTube.
Get Busy
Refocus your energy to improve on your situation by actively searching out solutions. Do not wallow in your problems. That is the wrong focus and will get you nowhere. Use your energy in a positive way. Not all problems are easily solved but using your energy to seek out resources is a better way. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees, so call up a trusted relative or friend who may be able to see a solution that maybe you aren't able to see. It's important to get busy in the right way and take baby steps in the right direction.
Make a Gratitude List
This is another big one. I find that if you make a detailed list of all the things that you are grateful for, you will find that the list is much longer than the things that are troubling you. It may not feel like that at first but if you really think about all of your blessings and refocus on the things that truly matter, you will find that your energy levels increase and refocus in the right direction.
These are all things that I practice regularly. As a result I have many more happier days.
I think that if you implement these into your daily life you will find it works for you too.
Love it!!! Those are some great tips to help you keep focused on the positive and not dwell in the negative. I'm looking forward to following your journey.
